Universal Trap Inter-Counties – 21st July 2024
The UT Inter-Counties was held at The National Clay Shooting Centre with a strong team representing Surrey. The light was difficult at times with the sun and cloud and the competition was tough. Kent had a very strong team and took the lead early on and didn’t look back, Surrey came in 3rd overall with Riccardo Virrelli the highest scorer in the squad, 3rd overall but 5 targets off the lead.
Well done to the Surrey team – Riccardo Virrelli, Phil Chambers, Dan Parker, Brian Gardiner, Fergus Watson-Hopkinson & Jo Watson-Hopkinson.

ABT Inter-Counties – 14 July 2024
It was a great weekend of trap shooting at Nuthampstead with the South East Region ABT held on the Saturday, followed by the Inter-Counties ABT on the Sunday.
We had a great Surrey team – Riccardo Virrelli, Phil Chambers, Dan Parker, Brian Gardiner, Fergus Watson-Hopkinson, Steve Cole & Jo Watson-Hopkinson. Strong performance all round with Surrey just missing out on the team to Essex by 4 targets. Riccardo led the way and took overall high gun on the day with 94/100 – brilliant achievement!
