Sportrap County Championship
The Surrey Sportrap Championship was held by Southdown Gun Club at the end of April.
There was a good entry of Surrey shooters, but Chip Smith excelled scoring 94 to win the three-day event outright. He was 11 targets clear of the next AA class Surrey shooter. Chip of course won the Veteran’s title too, and Sarah White took the Ladies trophy.

English Skeet County Championship – April 2021
Shooting is back on the agenda and Surrey kicked off the first County Championship with English Skeet at NCSC, Bisley.
If you saw any of the photo’s posted by NCSC they didn’t truly reflect the weather – the sunshine and blue sky were accompanied by a bitterly cold wind and even snow later in the day.
It didn’t affect the winners too badly and Frank Arico led the way with 96/100 to take the Senior and Veterans titles. Jo Watson-Hopkinson was only one target behind with 95/100 and taking the ladies title. Rachel Parish and Fergus Watson-Hopkinson came joint 3rd and a great achievement to have 2 ladies in the top 3!
Thanks to all the team at NCSC for a great event and hope to see more Surrey shooters at our next event – 23rd – 25th April at Southdown for the Sportrap County Championship.
